Coming just a few months after the 2010 Frankfurt Motor Show unveiling of the Ferrari 458 Italia on which it is based, the Ferrari 458 Challenge introduces a number of important modifications to adapt it for competition use. The Ferrari 458 Challenge introduces a number of important modifications to adapt it for competition use. This car use the direct injection 4497 cc V8 remains strictly in production tune, with an output of 570 hp at 9,000 rpm. This time, an Italian one that could give plenty of ideas to the designers at Ferrari. Imola is a spider without windscreen and has a future hybrid Ferrari V6 engine. The designer used triangular and trapezoidal shapes to create the head and tail lights and the grille.

The enormous rims and semi-slick tires underline the aggressiveness of the vehicle. This supercar is ready to take on the road monsters like Ariel Atom, Caparo T1, KTM X-Bow and especially the Lotus Elise.

More than 1,200 current Tesla owners in at least 23 countries have logged over five million electric miles in their Roadsters. CHICHESTER, UK — Tesla Motors (TSLA) will unveil its next-generation sports car to the public this weekend at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The latest version of revolutionary electric sports car, Tesla Roadster 2.5.

‘Goodwood is one of the most beloved motoring events in the world and a highlight of the English summer – so it’s only appropriate that this iconic celebration will be the public launch of the latest Roadster,’ said Cristiano Carlutti, Tesla’s Vice President of European Operations.

The Festival of Speed is the world's largest motoring garden party - a unique weekend that brings together a heady mix of cars, stars and motor sport 'royalty' to create the largest car culture festival worldwide. Held in the immaculate grounds of Goodwood House, this annual hill-climb extravaganza celebrates all things automotive.

Its two newest Tesla Stores–in Newport Beach, California, and Copenhagen, Denmark–will open with evening receptions. Both will have the Roadster 2.5 on display. The Tesla Roadster 2.5 features improvements in design and technology, including a new front fascia, rear diffuser, improved seat comfort, sound dampening and an optional large touch screen navigation system with back-up camera.

Inside, the most significant alteration is undoubtedly more comfortable seats, which have larger bolsters and now include a lumbar support system. Interior noise has been reduced in several ways, including new sound-suppressing front fender liners.

Finally, Tesla has further modified the Roadster’s power-control system, adding unspecified hardware to permit “spirited driving” (which we presume means maximum electric power) in exceptionally hot climates.
Prospective customers can see the Tesla Roadster 2.5 at Goodwood or at the London showroom at 49-51 Cheval Place in Knightsbridge, near Harrod’s. Tesla is now delivering this latest version of the car in all Tesla markets in Europe, Asia and North America.

New Chrysler Nassau Concept Cars will be launched later this year

According to U.S. sources the Chrysler Nassau will replace the Sebring as the next generation model (Chrysler Nassau concept cars pictured). The 2011 Chrysler Nassau will be the company's new mid-size sedan and will come on the market later this year. However, the 2011 Chrysler Nassau was not officially confirmed, nor denied for that matter. Although this name was used by the company for a 2007 concept cars , we should not expect the new 2011 Chrysler Nassau to look much like that concept.

The Chrysler designers have been working on completely new interior for the Chrysler Nassau and Dodge Avenger. The exterior will look substantially different. The Chrysler Nassau will offer the choice of two engines - 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine or a V6 Pentastar unit produced at Chrysler Trenton South engine plant.

Chrysler’s Sebring was never really anywhere near its competitors as far as its performance were concerned, which is why Chrysler has decided to make a fresh start with the car. And they have begun by giving the car a new name – Nassau – which is slated to hit the market in the last quarter of 2010 when it will replace the current Sebring.

The Nassau name plate was first seen on a concept car Chrysler had revealed in 2007. Chrysler also has a range of motorhomes available that are undergoing some modifications since earlier editions. Unlike the Sebring, motorhomes made by Chrysler are much larger and can accommodate more people in comfort. This type of vehicle is probably more suited to long distance travel and touring trips where motorhome hire is also an option for the vehicle.

The Chrysler’s Sebring is not being seen in good light of late, something that can be attributed to the sedan relying heavily on fleet and rental fleet sales with the majority of the grouse coming from the car’s interior quality which many claim is way behind what its competitors have on offer. Chrysler is of the opinion that the name ‘Sebring’ does not carry enough brand equity nor has any positive history associated with it that would make retaining the name for their all-new sedan really worthwhile.

“Chrysler bought the Nassau name when they came out with the concept, so it makes sense they would use it,” said Jim Hall, a consultant at a firm that is into advising automakers on future vehicles.

Another Chrysler Group model scheduled for replacement in the next 12 months is the Dodge Avenger. While little has been revealed on the new model (or whether it too will get a new name), previous reports suggested it would debut on a rear-wheel-drive platform as a sportier alternative to the Sebring.

That’s not all for there will also be an all-new Dodge Avenger to join the Nassau and is slated for a 2011 release with both the cars donning new interiors that Chrysler claims will match up to the best. The exteriors of the vehicles too will be a lot different so as to make them stand out as fresh new vehicles.

The Chrysler Nassau will be launched later this year. And The 2011 Chrysler Nassau price will be announced at a later date.

Jaguar will be launched a new XK limited edition model this month, the Jaguar XK-S. Like every Jaguar to carry the XK badge, the XK-S is all about performance with style – plus a large helping of individuality. The Jaguar XK-S offers its own spin on the 4.2 liter V8 XK in coupe form.

As well as introducing the exciting new XFR at Detroit auto show, Jaguar also decided to overhaul the XK coupe and convertible range. All the cars get revised exterior styling with a different front bumper and rear valance, rear LED lights, and color-coded side vents. Inside, Jaguar has changed the center console to incorporate its unique gear selector, a rotary control that pops up after starting the engine.

The new engines feature direct injection and variable camshaft timing that is activated by torque generated by the opening and closing of the valves rather than by oil pressure.

The naturally aspirated engine has a new variable intake manifold and camshaft profile switching in the intake cam, where there is lower lift at low rpm, helping gas mileage and torque below 3000 rpm.

The car offers a host of additional extras beyond the XK’s already impressive specification at no extra cost. In true Jaguar tradition, every XK-S will be a highly desirable car with an impressively accessible price tag.

The Jaguar XK-S customer will benefit from dramatic 20-inch Senta alloy wheels, luxury sports interior, a sporty brushed aluminum gear knob and bright finish pedals plus distinctive body enhancements: new front and rear valence panels, chrome-finished side vents and bright finish upper and lower front mesh grilles, special tailpipe finishers and appliqués on both sides of the car.

Jaguar said," Our cars meet the challenges of the modern world and the needs of today's consumers – and they're also true to the Jaguar philosophy of creating beautiful fast cars.'

While Jaguar was at it, the range has been simplified to two models—the Portfolio and the R. The revised XKs go on sale this summer as 2010 models.

Novitec Rosso Super Sports Cars Edizione 747 Bi-Compressor Engine

The Ferrari 430 Scuderia is already one of the hottest-performing supercars on the market, but some people just don't know how to leave well enough alone. Some of those people work at Ferrari, who've worked tirelessly on the 458 Italia to supplant the 430's already legendary performance. And some of those people work for Novitec Rosso, who've come back yet again with another mod job for the Italian stallion.

It takes its name from its rated power output of 747 horsepower: To mark the farewell of the Ferrari 430 Scuderia, NOVITEC ROSSO presents the Edizione 747. The world’s leading tuner of the super cars from Maranello turns the lightweight model into one of the most powerful super sports cars of our time. And with its matte yellow and grey paintjob it is also one of the most spectacular-looking cars of our time.

Called the Edizione 747, the custom Scuderia may not be as big as a jumbo jet, but it packs nearly as much thrust. Strapping a pair of superchargers to that high-revving 4.3-liter V8, along with a few more tweaks here and there, brings output up from an impressive 510 horses to a bonkers 747 horsepower. Intercoolers and revised aerodynamic cooling keep the engine running cool.

Twenty-inch NF3 rims wear Michelin Pilot Sport Cup rubber mounted to sport springs that drop the ride height by a further 30 milimeters, available with an adjustable front end that can lift 40 mm to clear curbs and speed bumps at the touch of a button. Novitec's also decked out this particular example with a two-tone yellow and matte black paint scheme, and given the interior a few mods to complete the package.

At the heart of this special model lies the new NOVITEC ROSSO 747 Bi-Compressor engine that boosts power output of the V8 that normally produces 510 hp / 375 kW by 237 hp / 174 kW. Driving performance improves accordingly: With a sprint time for 0 – 100 km/h of less than 3.4 seconds, 9.4 seconds to 200 km/h and just 22.9 seconds to 300 km/h the NOVITEC ROSSO model is the most powerful and quickest Scuderia in the world. Just as impressive is the top speed of 351 km/h.

The Edizione 747 specification is the ultimate high-end version and is limited exclusively to the Berlinetta model of the Ferrari 430 Scuderia. The layout of the engine conversion corresponds to all NOVITEC ROSSO Bi-Compressor conversions for the mid-engine sports car. Each cylinder bank is fitted with an intercooler and a cogged-belt-driven high-performance supercharger with a maximum boost pressure increased for this version to 0.53 bar.

The intercooling system features its own dedicated water circuit. The radiator of the system is located behind a special centrally placed air duct in the front apron. To guarantee perfect durability even under high ambient temperatures the conversion also includes more effective radiators for water and oil.

The result of this labor is a unique symbiosis of superior power and excellent running smoothness. With a rated power output of 747 hp / 549 kW at 8,500 rpm the NOVITEC ROSSO Edizione 747 Bi-Compressor engine surpasses its naturally aspirated brethren by 237 hp / 174 kW. The increase in torque from standard 470 Nm to 738 Nm at 6,300 rpm represents an enormous plus in low-speed power.

As a tribute to the outgoing Ferrari 430 Scuderia, Novitec Rosso has unveiled its new Edizione 747. As the name suggests, the V8 engine has been upgraded with a bi-compressor to produce a total of 747-hp with a maximum torque of 544 lb-ft. 0-62 mph comes in just 3.4 seconds while 0-124 mph takes 9.4 seconds. To speed comes in at 218 mph. Novitec also threw in a new intercooling system that features its own dedicated water circuit and is given a maximum boost pressure figure of 0.53 bar.

To lend the Scuderia better suitability for everyday use despite the lowering NOVITEC ROSSO offers an innovative hydraulic lift system for the front axle. At the push of a button in the cockpit the front is raised by 40 millimeters. It allows drivers to safely navigate parking ramps, low curbs and speed bumps.

After safely passing over the obstacle, another push of the button reverts the suspension to its original position. If the button is not pushed the front end reverts to its original position automatically once the car reaches a speed of 80 km/h.

Novitec Rosso has released their sporty styling and performance package for the new Ferrari California. The Novitec Rosso Ferrari California comes with a custom-tailored tire/wheel combination with diameters of 21 and 22 inches, suspension modifications, more power and exclusive interior options.

The Ferrari California 4.3-liter V8 engine power increases by 40 hp / 29.4 kW to 500 hp / 368 kW. Simultaneously peak torque grows from 485 to 518 Nm at 5,300 rpm : NOVITEC ROSSO now also refines the new Ferrari California.

Tasteful refinements with aerodynamic benefits characterize the NOVITEC ROSSO design program for the sports car from Maranello. All aerodynamic-enhancement components are made from especially lightweight yet high-strength clear-coated carbon fiber. The NOVITEC ROSSO front spoiler attaches to the production bumper and lends the sports car an even more striking face. Its sophisticated shape further reduces lift on the front axle for even better directional stability at high speeds.

To reduce lift on the rear axle and thus achieve an optimal aerodynamic balance NOVITEC ROSSO equips the California with a newly designed diffuser for the rear apron and a spoiler lip on the trunk lid.

Three-piece NOVITEC ROSSO NF3 wheels also play a major role in the even more stunning appearance of the refined Ferrari. By choosing a staggered combination of size 9Jx21 wheels in front and size 11.5Jx22 on the rear axle NOVITEC ROSSO further emphasizes the wedge shape of the car.

Technology partner Pirelli supplies high-performance tires custom-tailored to this Ferrari. Aerodynamic and styling changes include new rocker panels with integrated airfoils and black side markers, a rear diffuser, rear spoiler lip and carbon fibre rear molding. Wheels are 9Jx21 size in front and 11.5Jx22 at the rear, shod with 255/30 ZR 21 and 315/25 ZR 22 Pirelli tyres respectively.

NOVITEC ROSSO sport springs are custom-calibrated to match these ultra-low-profile tires, and lower the ride height by some 35 millimeters. At the same time the NOVITEC ROSSO specialists have developed an additional feature to further improve the everyday utility of the Ferrari California.

The NOVITEC ROSSO hydraulic front lift system raises the front of the car by some 40 millimeters at the push of a button in the interior. That allows drivers to safely navigate parking garage ramps or speed bumps. At a second push of the button or automatically when reaching a speed of 80 km/h the front reverts to its original position.

This injection of extra power comprises on the one hand a newly calibrated engine management system with custom mapping for injection and ignition, including a new higher redline speed of 8,300 rpm. The tuning package also includes the NOVITEC ROSSO stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system with metal catalysts and a flap actuator operated from the Manettino switch on the steering wheel.
